JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a summer substitute in Support Services, you will work as a support assistant or support aide. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's everyday lives by supporting, motivating, and creating security based on each client's needs and conditions. You will have the chance to work in several different operations, such as service and group housing, daily activities for adults, and activities for children and youth, which creates a varied and developing summer job. To ensure you feel secure in your role, we offer a thorough introduction that includes training in both caregiving aspects and pedagogical methods. If you enjoy working with us, there are good opportunities for continued hourly employment after the summer.

As a summer substitute support assistant/support aide, your duties include:

• Supporting clients towards an independent everyday life, which may involve providing assistance in personal care, cooking, activities, and communication. You may sometimes be required to perform medical tasks delegated to you by a nurse.
• Developing and maintaining abilities and communication considering disabilities and providing opportunities for participation in leisure and cultural activities.
• Social documentation occurs in our digital systems as a natural part of the work, which is also included in your introduction.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is responsible, attentive, and has a respectful approach
• Is curious about working with people
• Can communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Has basic digital skills
• Is 18 years old

We consider it an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have:

• Completed or ongoing education and/or experience in educational activities such as schools, LSS, social psychiatry, or other similar fields.
• Experience with methods for interaction and challenging behavior and clear pedagogical methods.
• Experience working with the target group with autism, intellectual disabilities, neuropsychiatric diagnoses, or psychiatric symptoms.
• Completed or ongoing education in healthcare and/or experience in care and nursing.
